The voice agent is the core of Voxilo. It answers your business calls, holds a natural conversation with the caller, qualifies the lead, books the appointment, and briefs you after.
What the agent does on every call
- Greets the caller in your business name and chosen voice
- Discloses that it's an AI assistant (required by law in several states)
- Discloses recording in two-party-consent states before any recording starts
- Asks the right questions for your trade — the intake script is loaded from the industry template you chose during setup
- Books the appointment straight into your connected calendar, or captures a callback request if the caller wants one
- Transfers to you live if the situation calls for it — emergencies, high-value leads, anything you've flagged for warm transfer
- Sends you a briefing after the call ends: what the customer wants, when, how much it's worth, what to do next
Voice quality
Voxilo runs on xAI Grok Voice Think Fast, a flagship realtime voice model. The conversation is fully natural — no menu trees, no "did I get that right?" loops, no robotic pauses. The agent handles interruptions, accents, background noise, callers who change their mind mid-sentence, and the long-winded ones who tell you their whole life story before getting to the leak.
Five built-in personas
Every plan ships with five voice personas you can choose from:
- Friendly-pro — warm, conversational, polished. Default for residential.
- Warm-residential — softer, more empathetic. Good for emergency calls.
- Direct-commercial — efficient, low chitchat. Good for B2B service.
- Steady-veteran — calm, experienced-sounding. Good for premium brands.
- Sharp-dispatch — fast and to the point. Good for high-volume operations.
Listen to samples during the setup wizard — each persona has a short playable clip so you can hear the difference before you commit. You can switch personas any time in Settings → Voice and the new voice takes effect within minutes.
On the roadmap
- Multi-language: French, Portuguese (currently English + Spanish)
- Custom voice cloning (your own voice, with consent)
- Per-time-of-day persona switching (warm after hours, direct during business hours)
